This digital design was recreated from an earlier work for execution on commercially printed fabric. The finished work, measuring 28 feet wide by 12 feet high, is installed on the chancel wall of a congregation in Minnesota.
The design gives expression to the Body of Christ, both in the person of Jesus and in his followers, the Church. The five panels in this design progress (left to right) from Incarnation to Redemption to Resurrection to Empowerment to Commission. The ribbon of water transecting the pieces serves as a reminder that we are drawn into Christ by way of our baptism, which then also propels us into the world for ministry and mission.
